STATEMENT

In my projects, I investigate a certain multiplicity that manifests itself through the inaccessible and inexplicable. I am challenged by everything that eludes reason, that we cannot grasp or easily decipher, in an attempt to make the invisible visible, the impalpable palpable. Therefore, the concept of infraleve, quantum physics, and the transformation of matter are some of the themes I connect to my work.

I am also moved by the hypnotic-optical conjunction of light with matter, the vibration of the line as vital energy, and I explore the thresholds of drawing, the sculptural object, the installation—and perception in all its forms.

With my work, I try to pose questions and raise awareness in viewers. In recent years, I have worked in different languages and media: drawing, installation, photography, video, site-specific work, performance, objects, and painting. I am deeply interested in the working process and in exploring new materialities as a way of expressing and constructing parallel realities. I also use light as a transversal concept that articulates some of the languages I operate in. In many of my projects, light is a poetic metaphor, as I consider it to be that which identifies us and makes us unique and unrepeatable.

What produces light as an energetic force in matter?

I am deeply drawn to explore how the line behaves and whether it is possible to "inhabit" it. In some cases, I explore its limits with different resources, and through drawing and installation, I propose a dialogue, merging the plane and the spatial context, thus adding a dimension that adds an experience to perception.
