QUANTUM

Video luminic installation composted by 6 pieces:
1 video + 5 sculptural luminic objects made in mixed media and led lights
200 X 300 X 170 cm

Is it the inside or outside?
Black holes (perforated?), beams of light, suggestive darknesses, and translucent membranes, cellular transparencies?
Light completely penetrates matter and lifts the veil...
Does the invisible then become visible?
Where do these stages crossed by light take me?
What does light produce as an energetic force in matter?
Questions, certainties.
Expansion of consciousness? Reflections and musings.

In physics, a quantum (or photon) is the minimum unit of energy that makes up light and can be transmitted at any wavelength. “Quantum” is a video installation composed of luminous-organic images that represent the energetic flow of our inner and outer universes—of the “visible and invisible” we are barely conscious of—located both within our biological-cellular organism and in outer space.

It proposes unity within duality, immersing us in an almost sensorial experience through moving images and suspended objects—pieces that emit light and move by inertia on their own axes in a black-box space. At the same time, video art is projected behind them in continuous motion, echoing the same visuals contained within the suspended objects. This creates the illusion of continuity, as if they had a life of their own within space-time.
It evokes sensations and experiential perceptions in the here and now.

As it is inside, is it also outside? As above, so below? Then… are we made of energy? Are we light?

The language of this project weaves together the semi-abstract—painterly, luminous, and visual—with the material and spatial, creating interactions both among the elements and with the viewer. The intention is to integrate the physical and the metaphysical dimensions that exist in both humanity and the universe.
