SOLAR CELL IN BERLIN

Installation painting in mixed media on circular canvas
80 cm diameter

"Solar Cell in Berlin" is an installation that explores the interaction between matter, light, and movement. The central concept of the piece is to transform space through the presence of a suspended object that comes to life when light passes through it and the air shifts. In its creation, the choice of white and opaque materials is deliberate, as at rest, the work presents a minimalist and subtle surface.

However, its true nature is revealed when the piece is pierced by sunlight. Upon receiving light, the shapes and textures project shadows and transparencies, creating a dynamic and ephemeral visual interplay that manifests in the surrounding environment. The work is not the fabric itself, but rather the luminous event it generates.

The piece's suspension allows it to behave like a mobile. The slightest air current—whether from the wind or the simple passing of a person—triggers a slow, undulating movement. This oscillation not only modifies the light projection but also introduces an element of time and change, making the work an experience in constant transformation.
