The residency program offers a dedicated space and time for the research, experimentation, and reflection of contemporary artistic practices. Through personalized support and coordination, the program aims to nurture artistic processes and foster meaningful exchanges rooted in the natural and communal context of Aconquija.

Raíces has been held since 2017 in the province of Catamarca, in the Aconquija Valley—"Snow formed at altitude alongside the moon"—a land of diverse biomes and ancestral cultures of northwest Argentina.

The residency is organized by the Centro Cultural Policarpo and is supported by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Sports of Catamarca, the Municipality of Aconquija, Red Quincho, the National Network of Cultural Points, and occasional sponsors.
