OVERFLOW - ESSAY 3, of the series What is the limit of a line?

Expanded drawing installation
Fabric interevened in collage and mixed techniques/ black fiber optic pipes
Variable measures

In this series of essays/works, I immerse myself in an obsession with discipline and its edges. Taken over by the line, it becomes the core of my research, orchestrating doubt...
Can the line sustain an artistic practice? What is its limit?

In the work, I reveal its possible manifestations through materiality, exposing the line as a territory in itself. Layers overlap, matter accumulates, anchoring itself to the surface. The line structures territories and emancipates itself from conventional boundaries, expanding its sensitive and symbolic potential into yet-unknown spaces.

Through manipulation and materialization, I explore its spatiality, resistance, and transformation, giving rise to imprecise, vibrating, expansive, and sensitive situations...
Can the line connect the human being to other ways of inhabiting reality?

Each time I approach a possible answer, it brings a new question and erases itself.
I wish I could say I glimpse an answer that might calm this inevitable doubt...
In the meantime, I embrace each essay as a provisional truth.
